Mace smiled in return to Elika's nod before nodding as well. She was still mindlessly pushing the mist away on the right side after she had positioned the lights correctly. For now, she only had one wish, just to end this day on a good note although since she was surrounded by people she really cared about, she somewhat felt some hesitation from Elika which caused her to look at the architect dubiously before glancing briefly in Lily's direction although she kept an impassive expression before continuing with her march towards the academy.
Inwardly smirking when Andros corrected his own statement, she ended up shaking her head exasperatedly. At least this was the kind of banter she was really grateful to be listening instead of the things she had to listen to that morning. Closing her eyes momentarily to try and tone those memories down, she opened her eyes once again and focused exclusively onto Franz who was requesting something. Mace smiled faintly as she raised her left hand as if to tell Franz to not even ask before, because she really had no problem with that whatsoever.
"Don't look at me Franz," Said Mace with a faint chuckle. She was about to add something else that she already had some people expecting to tell them how to do things or just go in their direction because they weren't happy about something, but she decided against it and just carried on with. "You do as you wish, and like Atlantis has just said, we can manage the Academy with the prospective students and initiates." Looking towards Atlantis with a knowing smile she shrugged slightly. "Most of them want to be taught by the local celebrity of Umgul." Atlantis was certainly going to have a lot of things to do, he assured the younglings and the parents alike that he would take care of them so they would be more in control.
After, it indeed was Elika's choice whether she accepted Franz's proposal or not. For now, she noticed that they were nearing the academy's entrance and she subsided the mist while Andros took care of the lighting around the place. She stepped closer but slightly back and next to Elika before smiling warmly. "Atlantis has been looking forward to visit this place but he kept saying that he wouldn't step inside before the Academy's creator." Said Mace thoughtfully before glancing in the Grandmaster's direction. "He and I obviously have seen it on paper, but it's means a lot to us, and him particularly that you have accepted to visit with us." She had a low tone and quite clearly, she might have sounded a little bit exhausted because of the things she had done the whole day. But this was actually relaxing and she was still wondering if Raan was going to show up or not.
One thing she was certain about, right now, the grown up men had to lay all of their differences on the table and put it all to rest. But this wasn't the most important matter at this present time. So moving that matter aside, she looked at the door mainly and smiled concurring with Andros' statement. "If you mainly and Atlantis could do the honors." She gestured to the front door, she was sure that Atlantis had the key to that door anyways, with that said, she only stepped aside for a moment and looked at the Grandmaster and Architect expectantly.

Reaching up, thumb keeping her sleeve from falling below her wrist, to needlessly adjust her spectacles when Franz asks about them, Elikapeka shakes her head with a smile as she says, "Oh, um, new, yes, but, um, she makes another slight adjustment to the glasses, no, I think I have them more or less adjusted now, thanks. Crinkling her nose as she puts her hands in the pockets of her trench coat to keep herself from further fidgeting, she explains, I lost my regular pair on . . . I lost them, so I'll just have to make do with these until I replace them. Frowning slightly, Elika asks, Are they horrible? They're hideous, aren't they? Waving the question aside as irrelevant, Elika silently follows the brief conversation between Franz, Mace, and Atlantis that follows Franz's question as to whether or not he would be allowed to act as sentry before, returning her attention to Franz, she smiles and says, Of course it's alright with me. I mean, she shrugs, making light of the situation since she has no desire to become the focal point of the conversation for any longer than she has already, if you think you can endure the boredom that being sentry will almost certainly entail, who am I to stand in the way, right?"
When Lily teasingly says that playing the love card will not alter her opinion, Elika elects to try the looking cute and pouting card instead, adopting as cute a pouting expression as she is able, complete with lower lip sticking out, and even adds a sniffle for effect before, when Andros begins to reply to the question she had asked of him prior to being told that the love card would not change matters, refocusing her attention on Andros with an attentive expression. When Andros offers to meet with her sooner than intended to discuss the project he had intended to bring to her so that she would have work to occupy her, Elika smiles with slightly exaggerated, yet entirely sincere, eagerness and nods her head repeatedly for emphasis as she says, "Yes please! Tomorrow would be perfect, she gestures towards Andros, knowing that his schedule might be a demanding one and not wanting to add any difficulties for him that could not be prevented, If its convenient for you, of course. Not sure what would be easier for him, Elika leaves the choice of place and time to him so that he can pick a place and time that suits him best, adding, Just let me know when and where and I'll be there. Smiling warmly, Elika adds, And Andros? Thank you," leaving it at that rather than making a production out of expressing her gratitude for his offer since, not only does she believe that Andros would prefer not to have a production made of it, but they have also, while speaking, arrived on the grounds of the academy they had set out for . . .

Sunsoar had carried out Raan's orders as had been required of him. He did not waste time in contacting the Public Relations branch of the Mist Government to notify them to cover the matter of an explosion at the Senator's Residence--assuming such news ever got out--and now, he considered checking on Lucy ever since he had seen her bruised in a way he hadn't witnessed in quite a while. However, it was late, and he suspected she had other plans since she had been seeing one of the Kiffar Guardians as of late.
As he he shifted gears in his shuttle, he couldn't help but think back of the look on Andros' eye when he had simply relayed Raan's message without so many words. He knew that the two men had their differences--in fact, as of late it seemed that Raan had serious differences with just about everyone--but he felt terrible not relaying the details of Raan's absence. Were the people present not supposed to be family? Sunsoar had also seen Mace, but at the time, she had such a peaceful look to her as she silently watched or had a minor conversation with the other members who were attending the Inauguration of the Mist Academy. Knowing that Mace would know something, Sunsoar took his leave. Not only did he feel terrible knowing that sooner or later the Kiffar Master would have to leave the peaceful Academy to head to the residence, but he couldn't bear the thought of how Lyra had been excited about this evening. She had looked at her father in the face and said that she would proudly head to the inauguration and announce to her Godmother how ready she was to get some serious training done and make her dad proud . . . but somehow, it had all gone terribly wrong. Sunsoar tried not to think about it as he continued on his way back to the Senator's Residence, hoping that Lyra would soon wake up before her father blamed himself for as long he lived. There was no denying that she was the reason Raan had held on to life when things were at their worst for him.
Regardless of how things turned out tonight, Sunsoar silently swore to tell Lyra all about the Academy when she woke up, and he would be so descriptive that the little girl would feel like she had been there the whole time.

Lakehouse
It is 3 a.m. when Elikapeka finally arrives home after her business trip - really a series of trips that took her to seven different planets in as many weeks - and, thanks to the fact that the numerous time changes involved in her travels, she feels wide awake. Unsure whether her roommates are currently home, Elika is as quiet as possible as she enters the house and, after dropping her luggage off in her room, having decided that dealing with her laundry can wait, pauses to look at the painting of a woman that adorns the wall near her dresser as she smiles a pained and mournful smile while absently lifting the figurine of Naboo's ancient moon goddess, Shiraya, she wears on a thin silver chain around her neck to her lips and kissing it softly before walking from her room, kicking her shoes off just inside the door, and then pads silently to the kitchen with her datapad in hand.
Knowing that attempting to sleep is utterly futile, Elika quietly sets about brewing a pot of vine-coffee she hopes will help her remaining conscious and mentally acute enough to survive the meeting with her employer later in the morning. After the pot has brewed and she has added sugar and cream to the generous mug she has poured, Elika sits at the kitchen table, reviewing the progress reports she will be presenting at the meeting, the task enabling her to set aside, for the moment, the sense of being out of time and place that has plagued her since her return to Umgul.

The Lakehouse
Despite his perpetual worries, Atlantis always embraced the simple things in life, he nurtured them and no matter the whats or whys about this or that matter, he always tried to find a solution and always tried to make it work but sometimes, he knew that it was fine to give up, that it was fine to stop fighting something that was beyond his control. Days, weeks and months have passed and still he had no idea what was bothering the woman laying next to him.
Technically he was laying next to her, this was her room and he was but a guest even though Lily and Crystal kept saying that he could come and go whenever he wanted and whatever time he deemed fit. So why was it that sometimes, he really felt out of place and why was it that all the time he felt like he was overstaying his welcome. Crystal always reassured him, she always lessened his doubts, but still to him that was just so wrong in the sense that he was the one who was fully trained in the Force and she was just getting a hang of it and yet she always seemed stronger than he, emotionally at least.
Maybe Atlantis was just all the time trying to mask his insecurities.
Maybe... Always maybe.
Knowing that he couldn't sleep or stay laying down any longer, he rose from the bed, kissed the woman he was with on her temple and turned to walk out silently from the room with only his jogging pants on. His mind was so clouded that he really wasn't aware of anything right now around him and he actually knew that if there was something looming around this lakehouse, he'd be alerted quickly but right now, there was nothing, just him shirtless, his scars noticeable all over his upper body and the lightsaber stab once delivered to him by his then Sith identical twin was right there.
The moment he walked towards the kitchen to grab something to drink, he smelt that familiar smell of vine-coffee and then after furrowing his eyebrows and soon he was at the kitchen's threshold, he saw her, he saw Elika and smiled faintly, it was a tired and restless smile but it was also a happy and pleasant one. Atlantis leaned against the door frame, not wanting to disturb her at all, not wanting to scare her at all but he knew that if he didn't announce himself at all, she would be startled, either way she might be startled whether he announced himself or not.
"Hey..." Atlantis finally said in a soft tone before pushing himself away from the door frame. He seemed tired but also very restless, there was nothing he could do about that, if people only knew what he had been thinking all of this time. Actually, correction, some were bound to know, he was referring to the cousins, of course.
"I didn't mean to scare you at all." He said with a frown and looked down at his feet and it was then and there he noticed that he was shirtless and his scars were very cringe-worthy to look at. "I can always put a shirt on." Atlantis said lamely, there was no, 'hey, good to see you again, how have you been?' but just that stupid line of his about putting a shirt on.
Idiot. He thought as he mentally kicked himself several times while he rubbed the root of his nose for his annoyance and lame statement. He should actually turn around and just fetch a shirt, right now, right this instance, but he felt like he was glued on the ground. Just motionless.
Motionless and his stupid statement.

Lakehouse
Looking up from from her datapad when she hears Atlantis' nearly whispered greeting, Elikapeka, who might have been startled were it outside of the realm of possibility that the Jedi would be in the house at such an early hour or if she were not as comfortable with herself in his presence as she is, smiles and shakes her head to reassure him that he has not scared her. Her gaze not lingering on Atlantis' scarred chest even though she notes the severity of the wounds that her friend had endured in order to sustain them with an entirely internal concerned wince she does not permit to reveal itself in her expression as she suspects that the scars, rather than his relative state of undress, are the source of the discomfort she initially feels she can read in his posture, uncharacteristically self conscious mannerisms and in his expression.
"It's . . ." Elika, discarding the idea of making a joke to alleviate Atlantis' discomfort - either an exaggeratedly exasperated It's not the first time I've seen a man's chest, or observing with an arched eyebrow that it is a good thing their situations are not reversed - since she knows firsthand that there is just as good a chance that a joke will make someone more self conscious as there is of it removing some of the tension, pauses only briefly before continuing as though expressing her original thought, "fine, Atlantis," and resists the urge to add a really - which would probably only seem to indicate otherwise in Elika's estimation, as she sets her datapad aside and stands. Laughing, clearly at herself, as much for feeling as though she needs to analyze her words as much as she has been as she is at the idea of Atlantis feeling awkward around her simply because he is not wearing a shirt when she and Atlantis are typically so at ease around one another, Elika pats the stool next to the one she has vacated and says, "Sit," in what is as close to a stern tone as she is capable of summoning, "I'll pour you some caf, yes or yes?"
"I didn't wake you, did I?" Elika asks, her back to him as she gets a mug and fills it with vine-coffee. Turning around and, her eyes scanning Atlantis's expression for an indication of whether or not she has succeeded in setting him at ease, returning to her seat and setting the mug in front of him, Elika slides the sugar bowl and creamer jug closer to him as, her head tilted toward the side appraisingly, she, having detected what seems to her to be something in his expression other than self consciousness, asks in a concerned tone, "Are you alright?" Elika rests her chin top of her right hand, her thumb keeping the sleeve of her sweater from sliding down, in what she hopes is a way that expresses the patience to wait for Atlantis to answer the question in his own time every bit as well as it expresses, in the kindest way possible, the fact that she is not at all likely to let him get away with a non-answer.

Elika said that it was fine, but to him, it was just not fine. Only a few ever saw the extent of his scars and he could count them on the fingers of his hands. He wasn't the prude kind of guy, or maybe he was to some extent, but right now that concerned his scars, and really it was cringe-worthy to see them especially when it was the first time, they ever saw it. At least that was what he thought.
Crystal proved him wrong on several occasions especially when he could feel her trace the lines of some of those with her fingertips. Still it made him conscious about this. He opened his mouth to say something but instead, Elika got there before him and just told him to sit in a way where he couldn't actually say no.
At least with her first statement and with her somewhat stern tone, his concerns that he or his scars might have shocked her lessened, not entirely but they did lessen. He resorted to smiling sheepishly and just sit down on the stool that she had patted like he was ordered. He placed his forearms on the kitchen island and intertwined his fingertips before leaning slightly forward. His tattoo was very noticeable if people looked straight at his left scapular. Some calligraphies and an animal that he always related to. "Yes." He said quickly before biting his lower lip and clearing his throat.
"I mean, yes please." He rectified and looked at her with a grateful look, even though she couldn't quite see it right now, but still he kept that grateful expression on his features when she turned to face him and give him that cup of coffee. Although at the same time he was shaking his head in response to her question. "Not at all, I haven't even heard you coming in nor did I even know you were here until I smelled the brewed caf." Atlantis said to her with a somewhat exasperated tone. He was mostly exasperated with himself because not even knowing she came in, that was clearly surprising to her maybe but especially to him.
"Thank you." He said when she pushed the sugar and creamer in his direction. He added what he needed to add to his caf which was a cube of sugar and little creamer before he stirred the caf. And there was the question, he closed his eyes briefly and he didn't even know how to reply to that. How was he really? Bottom line, he had no clear idea. The moment he opened his eyes again and turned his head to look at her, he saw that she wasn't going to let him get away with it by not answering or just giving partial truth.
Atlantis was there, albeit shirtless, and he was stuck. Just to stall for a moment, he took a sip of his coffee, just to organize his thoughts quickly before placing his cup back down and smirking slightly. "You have just arrived..." Atlantis began to say with a faint amused tone. "And you are asking me if I am alright?" It was a rhetorical statement but also it wasn't a reproach at all, he was just in awe to say the least that she was already asking about his well being when he actually should be the one doing that for her.
Atlantis only lifted slightly his hand and just inclined his head to show that he submitted and he or she didn't need to go in a convincing match at all, that everything was fine and perfect when he knew that there was no fooling her and that there was no way to get away from this. "Physically, I am fine but..." He pointed at his gray matter with his index finger with a faint frown. "Too many thoughts plaguing my mind. There is nothing I can do about it right now. You know." He dropped his hand and instead wrapped it around his cup.
"You know me, I don't worry for futile things, but when it concerns the people I care about, I can't help it and again, there is nothing I can do about it until they either talk about it or just..." Atlantis sighed softly and took another sip of his coffee before shaking his head slightly. "I probably am not making any sense..." He told her apologetically before looking at her with a faint smile.
"What about you, are you alright?" He asked curiously, not because he wanted to change the subject but because he knew that only just a few could reply to his own questions and just make it all clear and that was to actually see some people come back and say what was going on with several things. "It feels like we haven't seen much of you lately." He told her softly, it wasn't to chide her at all but more of a statement that he actually missed her. He was sure that he wasn't the only one either.

Having been told often enough in the past that she apologizes both too frequently and for things she has no need to apologize for does not often enable her keep herself from apologizing, but on this occasion the past admonitions and present situation align such that Elikapeka surprises even herself when she successfully traps the apology that rises naturally in her throat when Atlantis informs her that the smell of brewing coffee is what brought him to his present state of wakefulness; though she cannot prevent the silent oops conveyed by the briefly surfacing sheepish smile which accompanies her successful suppression of the verbal apology.
Nodding her head with an exaggerated eye roll that suggests Atlantis is being dense when he points out that she is asking how he is doing despite the fact that her recent return would, in the usual course of events, at least in his mind, usually reverse their roles, Elika doesn't press him to answer the question, instead waiting just as patiently as her posture and expression indicated she would if necessary for him to find a truthful way to answer the question posed to him, and even looks away from his eyes for a moment as she knows that some can find her habit of maintaining eye contact intrusive, annoying, or simply distracting.
Elika looks up from the depths of her mug of caf when Atlantis begins speaking, watching to see what his eyes add silently to his words. After listening without interruption to Atlantis' explanation of how he is doing, Elika reaches over with her free hand to clasp his and, rather than taking the easy route and grasping for clichés, says only, "You're making sense," squeezing his hand supportively in hers despite the mental discomfort and unease maintaining physical contact typically brings her to, she can hope, convey that she is there for him in whatever way she can be or that he needs her to be. Elika can only guess what the exact nature and origins of Atlantis' worries might be, but understands well enough what being in the position he has described can feel like; and, more, knows that until the situation develops one way or another there is little to be gained in dwelling on the uncertainty present circumstance engenders.
Not normally inclined to discuss herself, Elika, in light of the diversion doing so might afford Atlantis, smiles before, squeezing his hand a final time before releasing it and wrapping her hands around her mug of caf, says in a cheerful voice meant to clearly demarcate the shift in tone she hopes to achieve, "Well, she crinkles her nose and adopts a slightly mocking tone, I haven't been around much to be seen, so not seeing much of me isn't entirely surprising is it? Taking a sip of her caf before answering the actual question that has been posed to her, Elika sets the cup down and drums her fingers on the sides of her now nearly empty mug, her expression mildly amused as she realizes that she hasn't been afforded a great deal of opportunity recently to think about anything other than the architectural projects that she has been engaged in. "I'm . . . Elika pauses, frowning in thought as she looks up towards the ceiling as though she might find the adjective she is seeking there, fine," she concludes with a laugh, amused that the pause was rewarded with so simple and unrevealing an adjective. It hardly seems fair to have demanded Atlantis be forthcoming with her only to demure from honesty herself, and so, rubbing her right temple with her fist, currently pulled up into the sleeve of her sweater, Elika tries again, admitting with a sigh, "I'm tired. Not I need to sleep tired, you know? Just . . . tired. Too much traveling, too much work, too many egos to stroke. On a roll now, Elika finds herself pouting, And I always put on weight when I travel, so I feel like a, she puffs out her cheeks to illustrate her feelings, Gamorrean. Shrugging, Elika points out, You asked, and then, smiling and revealing that she isn't incapable of seeing the brighter side of her present situation, adds, But Evadne has promised not to add anything else to my plate until I've wrapped up a few of the projects I have going, so that's a plus. And, she lifts her coffee mug in Atlantis' general direction, hoping that it is safe to joke now, concludes, seeing how fit you are makes me feel guilty enough about being so very out of shape that I'm sure I'll be motivated to adhere to my workout regimen for at least a whole week."

Shaking his head to tell her that it was alright and that it really wasn't her making coffee or smelling him that woke him up but in fact the want and need to get something to drink that brought him here to a pleasant encounter. "It's okay, I actually needed something to drink and just do something than keep on laying down and wake her up in the process from stirring too much." Atlantis made a comical face and of course he was just joking and he also meant Crystal, who else? That would perhaps answer Elika on whether she were asking herself or not on who might have been here.
Atlantis never understood why Elika often looked away when actually to him it was quite unnecessary, he liked the fact when people were close to him could maintain eye contact and now he was starting to think that maybe he had said something wrong or said something that was making her feel bad. He didn't really know but he wasn't about to start second guessing now especially when he felt her hand on his and her giving it a gentle squeeze. The only thing he could do right now was to just smile, smile gratefully and he knew for a fact that he said thank you so many times and that he apologized too so many times and in the end, he and Elika actually somewhat stopped holding a score board over one another due to the crossovers that occurred plenty of times.
He was grateful nonetheless and that was because she was there and that she actually understood what he meant to begin with, but then again there was nothing more he could say due to the fact that he didn't know, all he knew was that it concerned the Drakes, the Jades, the Solaris, simple as that. Maybe not as quite simple considering that his girlfriend was part of the latter family's branch along with her half-brothers. One of them was currently here, that much he knew. It somewhat made Atlantis smile inwardly because hey it actually worked out somehow.
Focusing on the matter at hand though, Atlantis focused exclusively on what Elika was telling him and how she actually was. While he listened he kept taking a sip of his caf here and there until he emptied his mug. His first assessment though, not that he would ever say it aloud because she wasn't asking for any analysis at all, was that she was working way too much. Sounds familiar really. And last but not least, was she taking so many assignments to somewhat avoid something or someone? He didn't know at all but those questions came to mind. Atlantis loved her company that was a fact and not seeing her regularly was a bit of a downer. Not just to him but also to those living here too and his very own brother. Although not wanting to point those things out, Atlantis kept a very neutral but also attentive expression on his features, he even let out an amused chuckle when she puffed out her cheeks paired to the fact that she should take example on him somehow since he was fit.
"Right, so first of all..." He began to say looking at her with a genuine and sincere expression. "You look great." He inclined his head to make that point and finalize it. "Second, I cheat, I have a high metabolism and when you compare what you and I actually do, not comparable." No, at least to him it wasn't comparable, he always spent his time honing his skills, working out and training his body to withstand mostly anything and he also had been teaching some younglings back at the Academy but that was a story for another time. "Although, if you are an early riser, you should join," Atlantis pointed his head to somewhat Crystal's room and smiled. "Her, she always goes for a jog before breakfast and work." He looked at the wall clock and grinned. "Which should be in a hour and half time."
He looked back at Elika with a knowing grin before saying. "We all know you are the best right there but really Evadne should definitely cut you more slack and really tone down your business trips lest he gets an unexpected visit from our very own Vice-Governor to have a word with him." Atlantis was joking, that he was but he knew that Andros was very capable of doing that, Elika also knew that that much was a given... He looked down at his empty mug and then hers before glancing at the brewed coffee and then finally looking at her. "More coffee?" He asked curiously.

Elikapeka rolls her eyes in exaggerated exasperation when Atlantis opines that she looks great - though the small upward lilt at the left corner of her lips suggests that finds his opinion at least mildly comforting - since he is not the one that has to own two different sets of clothes to ensure that he always has a suitable wardrobe for any occasion despite seemingly eternal pesky weight fluctuations. After scowling as though truly angry about the fact Atlantis has a high metabolism when he points out that his lifestyle is not as sedentary as her own, Elika concedes the point with a nod of her head she makes more reluctant than is the case for comedic effect. When Atlantis makes her aware of the opportunity to join Crystal, who is far better at following an exercise regimen than Elika has ever been, for her morning run, Elika adopts an expression intended to appear as though she is deeply pondering the possibility of doing so, but ultimately, as her traveling has left her feeling so drained, says, "Maybe tomorrow morning," her demeanor and tone making it easily evident that, her words aside, she is not truly overly concerned about her weight so much as mildly irritated at the prospect of facing the task of bringing it to what she finds a more acceptable level.
When Atlantis asks whether she would like more coffee or not, Elika answers by nodding while standing, reaching out to grab his mug before he can protest or make a move to stand as she asks, "You too, yes or yes? As she walks to the coffee pot, Elika laughs as she says, Andros won't need to make any visits, and, honestly, I'm as much to blame as Evadne. I told him I could manage all of the projects before I realized how much traveling was involved. And, she lays the back of her hand against the side of the coffee pot to verify it is still hot enough, then fills the mugs as she continues, it isn't his fault that I insist on visiting the clients and the actual construction sites to get a feel for them rather than just doing everything by holo-conference. Elika returns to her seat, adding a cube of sugar and dollop of cream to Atlantis's mug and stirring it before sliding it over to him as she smiles, knowing that Atlantis is familiar enough with her work habits to know that she is not exaggerating, and jokes, But don't tell Andros that, crinkling her nose as she jokingly whispers, It's safer to have him blame Evadne for my being a workaholic than blame me, right?"
In the middle of swallowing a sip of her coffee, Elika suddenly lifting her right hand, thumb keeping her sleeve from riding down, and looks up towards the ceiling as though she is foolish for not having thought of it before now, and asks, "Do you want to see some of the designs I'm working on? Not really giving Atlantis a choice, excited enough about showing him the sketches she has made of the projects that took her Umgul to seven other worlds, Elika reaches over for her datapad and slides it between her and Atlantis, chattering away for the next several moments in the easy and unaffected way only made possible when she is truly at ease with someone. After scrolling though images of her current progress - the projects running the gamut from a religious temple, a hover train station, a skyscraper, to simple residences, Elika, her expression indicating that, exhaustion and weight gain aside she finds her work rewarding, smiles with a shrug and says, Yeah, so, that's what I've been working on. Reaching up and removing her glasses, Elika cleans the lenses with a sleeve of her sweater as she says, I'll be able to finish the design phases here on Umgul; I can even work from home in my pajamas all day if I want, Elika smiles as she thinks of the possibilities, pausing momentarily to enjoy the thought, then shakes her head and concludes with a cheerful, I just need to make it though a progress meeting this morning without crashing, then I can home and crash. After that, she waves a hand out in a wave-like motion to illustrate her word choice, voiced in a hopeful tone, it should be smooth sailing."
After sipping once again from her mug, Elika leans over to nudge Atlantis's shoulder with her own as she tells him with a smile, "Your turn for a progress report. How are things at the academy? How is everyone? What is everyone up to? What have I missed? Arching an eyebrow while pursing her lips in what is intended to be an amusingly stern fashion, Elika adds a, Tell me everything," just to ensure she has covered all the bases, and then steeples the fingers of her hands beneath her chin to await Atlantis' reply.

Atlantis lifted his hands in surrender when Elika postponed her workout and by doing so, not joining Crystal this very morning the moment she wakes up. Although knowing Crystal the moment she finds out that Elika has arrived, she wouldn't do her usual workout routine. Just his own take and considering that this matter was over and done with, Atlantis didn't linger on that. Instead he had in mind to actually just pour some more coffee for the both of them but Elika got there first.
Atlantis playfully growled and rolled his eyes teasingly, he knew there was no use to actually protest this instance especially when he knew that creed that concerned women. That creed had been told to him again and again and there was no point to argue, something about 'women are amazing fooking creatures.' Yep, that he remembered and very clearly, it made him chuckle softly and their exchange up till now made him more comfortable being in his skin, after all he was still shirtless but that issue about his visible scars was in the backseat, really. Atlantis just zeroed his attention on her and narrowed his eyes briefly before saying. "You are so bad." He told her in a teasing and playful tone. It was no secret that Elika was in fact a workaholic, but her even letting Evadne take the fall for it and therefore be facing Andros' wrath and annoyance, that was just amusing but also mischievous in his books. And yes maybe he did feel bad for Evadne then and there.
"We are talking about the same Andros, right?" He asked just to be sure but it was also a joking statement. "Are you very sure that you want him to blame Evadne and actually pay him a visit to inflict to him his annoyance and wrath?" Atlantis shuddered but that was just for show, he actually did not fear Andros and whatever wrath and annoyance were aimed at him, he could take it. But for Evadne's case, he actually wasn't sure, at all.
"Thanks." He said as he picked up his cup that she slid to him and even toasted in her direction before taking a sip of it. He nodded quickly when asked if he wanted to see her designs, of course he did, he was always interested in the things and projects his dear friends were doing and to be perfectly honest, Elika was more than a friend to him, she was family and that was a fact. He watched and listened with interest when she was describing what she was showing him from time to time he looked at her too and noticed that carefree tone and expression due to being lost into her art, he admitted it, he loved seeing her that way, it was nice. He smiled warmly when she described what was in store for the next few days for her. That was good to know, she would be here, home and that was just perfect to all of them.
"It better be smooth sailing at some point, or I am very sorry, I will have to invoke a certain AG to put you into house confinement." He told her jokingly and nudging her shoulder gently to just emphasize that he was just in fact kidding. He wasn't going to do that and there was no way he was going to toy with free will and there was no way he was going to stop someone from doing the things they loved the most. He smiled yet again after taking a sip of his caf especially when she in turn nudged his own shoulder.
"The Academy is great, nothing much to report on that front, we have had several prospects around the planet and wanting to join, so we have been teaching them along with Mace, Ayla and Franz." He explained softly and maybe Elika did not know, well he was sure that there was a chance she didn't know. "Mace's cousin is actually now the fourth councilor of the Order here. Mace is fine, Franz also." Atlantis said with a warm smile, he couldn't really bring himself to tell her that the Drakes, they were quasi absent and they haven't heard from them yet, so that aside, he just decided to carry on with the others that were currently planet side.
"Lily is great and she is officially with..." Atlantis' eyebrows both rose as if to say 'you know who' "He is currently here, actually so don't be surprised. He moved here from Honoghr. Ryan and Crystal are getting along fine and he has been teaching her to heal, actually." As surprising as that may have sounded because from the very beginning Crystal actually did not want to explore that vastly her sensitivity but there she was taking an interest in healing. "Crystal has a better hang onto the Force, she is actually a quick study although she has no intentions at all to use that for combat, she still prefers..." He threw a jab in front of him and chuckled softly. "And she still kicks my ass." He grinned with amusement before rolling his eyes playfully and finally he looked at Elika again.
"Anything else you wish to know?" He asked sincerely and curiously before something came to him. "How is Lucy, by the way?"

When Atlantis teasingly accuses her of being bad, Elikapeka adopts her best innocent and wounded expression, complete with right hand held over her heart as though the mere suggestion that she might be bad pierces her to the very core. Altering her expression to one indicative of deep thought, her right hand shifting from over her heart to beneath her chin, when Atlantis asks whether Elika would be able to live with having directed Andros' wrath towards Evadne, she tilts her head from one side to the other and then back again to further illustrate her deep pondering before, sighing with feigned reluctance, "You're right. Evadne doesn't deserve that," and then, after shuddering as though in horror at the idea of Andros visiting his wrath upon her boss, shaking her head with a laugh, knowing that Atlantis knows as well as she does that she has never had any complaints about Evadne; the Ugnaught has, in fact, shown himself to be an understanding and supportive employer on more than one occasion.
Lifting her left hand, thumb keeping the sleeve of her sweater in place, as though making a vow when Atlantis details the consequences for a lack of smooth sailing in the immediate future, Elika adopts a sober and grim expression as she says in a solemn tone, "The sailing will be smooth, I promise, and then tilts her head to the side as she points out, As much as any one can promise such a thing anyway. The tides, waves and currents and so on of the ocean have a say in the matter, don't they? Crinkling her nose, not at all happy with the analogy she has just come up with, Elika says, Yeah, sorry, I really shouldn't try philosophizing with no sleep. I don't even know what I was trying to say there," and shudders before, when Atlantis goes on to answer her questions about what has happened while she has been traveling, listening intently to him and nodding or making the occasional noise where appropriate - a sincerely pleased smile when Atlantis informs her that he and some of the others have begun teaching; a series of nods as he informs her of Ayla's new position and goes on to assure her that Mace and Franz are doing well; an amused laugh accompanied by an eye roll when he lets her know of Lily's relationship progress, both the laugh and the eye roll entirely playful and eclipsed by the smile accompanying them that reveals Elika is happy for both Lily and 'you know who'; a look of mild surprise tinged with awe that is probably not entirely surprising when Atlantis reports that Crytsal has been learning heal; and a teasing sniffed laugh that manages to convey Elika's lack of surprise that Crystal's ability to kick ass remains intact.
Pursing her lips in thought to try and think of any other questions she might be able to toss his way, Elika shakes her head and smiles as she tells Atlantis, "Not at the moment, but give me a while and I'll have some more for you, I'm sure. Answering Atlantis' question about her lieutenant, Elika says, Lucy is still . . . Lucy, and laughs as she reveals, She still calls me ma'm constantly, doesn't say anything unless it's either absolutely necessary or unavoidable, and does that statue thing she does, you know? Shaking her head and sipping her caf, Elika says in a tone that indicates she is not perturbed by the situation, I accepted that she's never going to loosen up while she's on duty a long time ago."

Atlantis gestured in her direction and nodded a few times to concur on the fact that indeed Evadne did not deserve to take all of Andros' wrath. Even though, Atlantis knew there was a fifty, fifty chance that it would occur it wouldn't change the fact that he still remember a story that happened on Naboo. It concerned Evadne and Franz particularly but Andros was in the middle of it and he had averted the sconing going on. Atlantis just lingered onto that memory and did not delve onto much details into his mind of the reasons why they were there in the first. By doing so, he couldn't help but to snort at the memory that flashed through his mind.
He lifted his hand and shook his head to tell Elika that he actually wasn't trying to stop himself from laughing at her comical face but just something that occurred through his mind and he signified that by pointing at his gray matter again. He had to take a deep breath to control him humor, as history indicated, a lack of sleep from him could really set him off laughing without notice. He took another deep breath for good measure and looked at her when she was trying to make a point about the smooth sailing issue, and that actually made him bite his lower lip because he really was about to laugh.
He couldn't do that, this was serious-ish, right? Right. So Atlantis just cleared his throat and looked at her. "I do understand that external occurrences can prevent to smooth sail, but my point still stands..." Even though he was joking then, he was still joking now to be perfectly honest despite his poker face on. "I will invoke Counselor Jankovic and ask her to restrain you to this place." That was a good argument in his case, or so he thought, what better way to avoid any other currents that would prevent her from smooth sailing, right? He was pretty surprised because he could still think clearly and make solid arguments despite his lack of sleep.
Nonetheless, Atlantis just nudged her shoulder with his own to tell her that it was okay, that there was really nothing further to discuss and she didn't need to further make a point and that really he was still joking. He and his sleepless humor, not a good mix sometimes, or all the time anyways. But he was glad to know that she still found the fact that Crystal could still kick his ass very amusing, at least he had not lost his touch somehow. It was true though that Crystal turning to specialize herself mainly into healing with her Force affinity, surprising but not surprising either. He guessed that he had Ryan to thank for that somehow, like he had said or thought previously. Crystal was far more in control and she had successfully toned down her ability to hear or grasp Lily's thoughts.
Atlantis inclined his head slightly to tell her okay, and actually whenever she felt like asking about anything he knew, she should never hesitate at all, he would gladly answer if he could. So Lucy was/ is still Lucy, not so surprising by what Elika was describing. He smirked briefly and chuckled softly, when he thought about it, he also wanted to see Lucy as he missed her too in a way as surprising as that sounded, but Lucy was just funny to be around from time to time and he had to admit, sometimes he loved pushing her buttons. "That's too bad though, if only you weren't the duty, then I am sure that it would have been a different approach." Atlantis said softly, although he had seen Lucy loosen up for a bit and he also remember her dancing her night off a while ago with a certain Kiffar.
He drank his coffee and knew that with two cups in a short amount of time, there was no way he could go back to sleep or just get some shut eye, but maybe for Elika, she needed to rest or catch some zzz. But before he could even say something about that, another thought occurred to him and he looked at her very gravely as if it was very important. "Something occurred to me, Ms. Hekekia." Yep he did go there, using her last name and all and being formal. "I was told that your Headhunter was gathering dust in the garage from the lack of use." Atlantis arched his eyebrow as if to say 'what do you make of that, hmmmmmmm?'

Elikapeka laughs when Atlantis jokingly threatens to call upon Lily to enact a restraining order, holding up her hands, thumbs keeping the cuffs of her sweater in place, and tries not to laugh as she solemnly says, "Point taken counselor, I'll make sure that you have no need to go to such lengths, promise," and then shakes her head while stifling her laughter, feeling grateful for the simple fact that, as always, she finds that her relationship with Atlantis remains unaffected by the times their lives separate them, and how he nearly always manages to cheer her up, even on those occasions she is oblivious to the fact she is in need of cheering.
When Atlantis refers to Elika as Lucy's duty, Elika finds it exceedingly amusing and cannot keep from giggling as she puts her right hand to her chest and asks, "I'm the duty?" Holding up the hand to request a moment to get her giggling under control, Elika, who does know what Atlantis meant by the remark, remains nonetheless unconvinced that she and her lieutenant would get along any better if they were not in their respective positions of bodyguard and principle - Lucy is possessed of a vastly different personality, borne no doubt from having been part of a military culture for so long, and seems to find the vast majority of civilians like Elika annoying at best. For her part, Elika respects Lucy, even admiring her for the strength and fearlessness she seems to possesses, qualities Elika feels she herself lacks more often than not. "I'm the duty," Elika repeats with a sigh, nodding her agreement with at least that part of what Atlantis has said.
When Atlantis reminds her of the Z-95XT she was given as a gift, Elika cringes with a sheepish, guilty smile that is only partly affected; despite her best efforts to find the time to learn to pilot the starfighter, customized for use as a personal transport, she has not even managed to once take it from the garage, much less learn the first thing about piloting it. Pursing her lips in thought as an idea occurs to her, Elika tilts her head to the side and narrows her eyes as she looks at Atlantis as though debating whether or not to share the idea with him. After mentally debating the question silently for a moment, Elika says with a faint note of uncertainty and the trace of reluctance that accompanies any request she makes that she feels might be inconvenient for those she makes the requests of - which, in point of fact, is any request; asking for anything something that Elika is loathe to do and therefore seldom does - "You know, there is something we could do about that. The dust, that is. Pausing to sip her caf, Elika goes on to explain, You could go and get dressed while I get changed for work, and then . . . bring me to the office in my Headhunter? Glancing at the wall chrono, Elika points out, If we go now, you'd even be back before Crys gets up. I'd get my first lesson, the dust would get kicked off, you'd get to pilot a Z-95XT. Soooo, what do you think?"

"Remind me to thank Lily, please?" Atlantis said with a sheepish grin. It turned out that somehow his ability to B.S. was getting better and better, and he definitely had to thank the counselor here because he always had to get away from the toughest spots when it came to her and her inquisitions. Nevertheless he saw that he had definitely succeeded to make Elika laugh first thing in the morning, if he could say that. That really was a plus for him.
Nodding sagely to reiterate that she was indeed the duty, although it was clear as day, the relation between Elika and Lucy, he somewhat didn't like that appellation. Although there was nothing he could do about it. Lieutenant Lucine Lyn was part of the UDF and she was assigned as Elika's bodyguard. Period. "It's not that bad, you know and you can always switch for a day or two." He suggested before looking at her with a grin as he was more and more convinced that he could actually pull it off and that he knew a few who need to lead a somewhat sedentary life. "How about I mandate someone to you?" Atlantis suggested before lifting his hand to prevent her from protesting right now, with the whole maybe they were needed there at the Academy and besides, they always could permute into any teaching positions.
"I happen to know someone who needs a temporary break." He told her in such ways that it looked like that he was actually confiding a grave secret. "That person became too serious." Atlantis made a face and shuddered at the thought, he was referring to Franz of course but the guy just definitely changed, he wasn't joking like he used to. Maybe Franz and Elika could just cheer one another up and who knew maybe Franz would be just like the Franz before.
Atlantis focused his attention back onto her when she suggested that he actually took the Z-95XT for a spin and dropped her off to work right about the moment he got changed which should be now according to her words. Atlantis opened his mouth to say something first but clearly excitement was written on his features, but then he reconsidered after what they had just talked about. "Hold up a second, my dearest Architect." He looked at her with a grave expression this time and then took a deep breath.
"Do you remember telling me that women were amazing creatures but I also had to listen to women?" In this case, yep he should listen to Elika and all but fact remained that there were other women in play and in the premises he had to think about. "Lookey here, lady, I would do anything for you, or mostly anything." Yep that was a fact because he meant all of that. "But do you really want us to get into trouble?" He asked with a shocked expression. "And yes by that I mean us two with Lucy, Crystal and Lily. When it comes to Lucy though I am more or less safe but from the CFO and the AG?!" He asked with alarm before looking at Elika more closely as if to him she had developed a multiple personality disorder.
"Lily and Crystal would come down on me saying they haven't seen you yet and that you didn't even wait for them to wake up, that I didn't do anything about it and then Lucy will be pissed off that you have just gone without her knowing so at this time of the day." He was thinking of all fronts, either way both of them were going to get into trouble that was for sure. "I know that I am a magnet for trouble but pretty please, don't turn like me?" He asked as he presented both his hands in front of her as if saying a prayer.

The Lakehouse
Crystal began to stir on her bed and the first thing she noticed while stirring was that she couldn't feel the warmth of Atlantis' body who was supposed to be just next to her. At least that was the case last night when they went to bed together. Slowly opening her eyes letting them adjust naturally to the darkness, she couldn't help but to pat the other side of the bed gently just to make sure that it was empty and it was. Maybe he had been called for an emergency, who knew? She really wasn't worried per se since she got used to that but when she turned on the lights in her room, she noticed that his gears were still there and everything that he usually carried were still on the bedside table.
Now that she thought about it, she could actually feel his signature and it was nearby. Crystal furrowed her eyebrows and tried to make something out of it, maybe he was just thirsty and had grabbed something in the kitchen? Crystal couldn't quite focused on what was going on, nor feel other signatures considering that there were now two strong ones in this household, Atlantis was one and the other was her very own brother Ryan. Yes she had been trained and yes she had learned to canalize her energy into something but always discerning who was there and who wasn't when strong signatures were around, she hadn't quite followed the instructions to that.
Shrugging and getting out of the bed to stretch for a bit, she decided to just get to the bathroom to freshen up and change into her sportswear, tank top and jogging pants. She took what she needed and got out of her room to find Atlantis but the closer she got towards where he was, ergo the kitchen, the more she heard voices, he was speaking with... Crystal's eyes popped wide open and she smiled happily but before even entering the kitchen, she paused a moment to listen to what the two of them were saying. Rolling her eyes playfully before adopting a stern expression the moment she entered the kitchen and just looked at them both.
"What is this that I hearing...?" Crystal asked rhetorically before focusing her attention onto Atlantis and then Elika. "You were already going to take off without a proper hello?" The corner of her lips twitched into a grin before she smiled more fully and excitedly, so happy that Elika was actually here in this kitchen taking to Atlantis. "You are home!" She said a little louder than she really wished so as she knew that Lily and Ryan were still sleeping, maybe, who knew? In the end she actually didn't care and just hugged her friend on the side as she was still sitting down.
"It is so good to see you." Crystal finally released Elika and turned to look at Atlantis remembering his last words. "You should listen to him..." She said quickly pointing at Atlantis and noticing that he actually was shirtless, and she knew that usually he was very conservative, if she could put it that way, of his scars. She placed a hand on his back and gently rubbed it once before glancing at him with a warm smile as if telling him thanks for keeping Elika company at this ungodly hour.
"Didn't I tell you once that you should let me know when you were actually home?" Crystal asked Elika teasingly but that wasn't too important, she definitely wasn't going to set out this morning for a jog because she really was happy to see Elika. Lately it felt like they have been missing one another, she was either called for a meeting with the higher ups of the government or when she would head home Elika was about to go on a business trip. So any time of the day, she would take it and postpone her plans and even her morning routine in this case. "Do we have you longer this time or should I make the most of it in the following hours, like say not going into work today?"

Elikapeka nods with an amused grin when Atlantis asks that she reminds him to thank Lily when he has a chance, assuring him, "Will do, and then nods in agreement with a slightly concerned furrow of her brow when he says that the situation with her lieutenant is not all bad, anxiously clarifying, I don't want you to think that I have any problem with Lucy though. At all. She's a professional, and I respect that she has a certain way of conducting herself when she's, Elika grins, looking after the duty. Tilting her head to the side inquisitively when Atlantis goes on to explain that he knows of someone that could use a break and might be able to relieve Lucy of for a day or two, Elika, curious as to who Atlantis might be referring to when he says that who he has in mind has become too serious, purses her lips in thought as she considers the option of taking him up on the offer; more due to the fact that she feels Lucy might be entitled to a break after the past seven weeks than any desire to be free from her. With a shrug, Elika says, Why don't you go ahead and look into it? I'm sure that my lieutenant could use some free time. She's bound to be due for some kind of leave soon, right?"
Watching Atlantis with an air of amusement as, once they've moved on from the matter of who will be stuck baby-sitting her, Elika soon looks more guilty than amused; realizing that while her intentions - not to intrude upon or interrupt Lily and Crystal's morning routines - were good, she has overlooked the, once Atlantis has pointed it out, fact that her friends are more likely to find her behavior odd than polite, if not downright rude. Elika groans when Atlantis has finished, lowering her head, her red hair spilling down to cover her face, admitting, "You're right, and then reaching up to brush her hair back from her face as, trying to maintain the light tone that has been in place, she jokes, The last thing we need is for you to wind up in the dog house, or, she laughs, me for that matter. Elika is about to continue along a similar vein when Crystal enters, rendering the issue, essentially, moot. Well, Elika says as she hugs Crystal back warmly, I had been planning on letting you sleep in and doing the proper hellos later on, but . . ." she concludes with a shrug, smiling at her friend sheepishly as she is reminded that she should have let everyone know that she was returning to Umgul.
Nodding her head, Elika teases her friend playfully, "Yes, mother, you have told me on numerous occasions that I should call. Laughing, Elika stands and walks towards the coffee pot to pour Crystal a mug of vine-coffee, saying, I was going to go in to the office to give Evadne the progress reports on the projects I'm working on, buuuut, she adds cream and sugar to Crystal's coffee, I'm sure that he would let me just send them to him by holonet if I told him how exhausted I am after all the traveling. Returning to her seat and passing Crystal the mug of coffee, Elika smiles as she explains, And you definitely don't have to worry about me traveling anymore anytime soon, she sighs, taking a sip of her own coffee, Like I was telling Atlantis earlier, I think I'm going to be working from my studio here at home for the foreseeable future. At least until I've finished the design work on the projects on my plate anyway. So, Elika wiggles her shoulders to try and work some of the knots from her muscles, in other words, don't let my being back interrupt your morning run or anything else you have to do today. Leaning over to bump her shoulder against Crystal's, Elika waggles her eyebrows as she jokes, But you do need to promise me that we'll have a girl's night soon to catch up."

Atlantis knew that sooner or later Luce would need a break, she had been traveling too much just like Elika. She definitely needed a break too, so mandating someone from the Order wouldn't be a problem. Atlantis was only hoping that Franz would accept to begin with, otherwise he was going to be at a crossroad. Although considering that she had said that she would be staying here in the foreseeable future, he could always take that position if Franz refused. He couldn't ask Mace nor Ayla for reasons that were his own and theirs but he and Franz would certainly do the trick and he wasn't about to entrust Elika to someone she barely knew anyways.
He had solely inclined his head to let her know that he was definitely going to look into that matter but he did not say when although on his part he'd be doing that on this very day too. But all the things he had said so far still stood, them getting in trouble with the women he mentioned previously. They were all deadly in their own rights and while he kept that pleading expression on his features while she agreed to what he had just said, he felt something or should he say someone familiar nearby. That had caused him to pull a face to indicate that they were busted. Before he could even explain that face of his, the concerned person had walked in and he looked over his shoulder to see her walk in their direction with a stern expression.
Atlantis' shoulders slumped and he closed one of his eyes pretending to wince at what might be soon tossed in his direction but instead he was rewarded by Crystal rubbing his back gently and a smile from her. He looked back at her with a warm smile before sitting up straighter while he let the two women talk between themselves and he automatically reached behind him to grab Crystal's hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. Now that even Elika was invoking a girls' night out maybe, only maybe Crystal would be ready to talk about what had been bothering her recently. He knew that she had not talked with Lily yet and he also knew that over the last couple of weeks they haven't headed into the city to just indulge themselves into random activities.
It did not help that maybe he and Ryan were often here and that each of the women ended up spending more time with them than just the two of them. He did not know but what he knew was Crystal always wanted him there. He did not deny that, he did not counter that, instead he adjusted himself to it. His moments were spent between here and the Academy and the others too but recently, much more with Crystal.
Atlantis confirmed with a nod the veracity of Elika's words and he smiled warmly before glancing at the two of them. "You definitely should and also should have the place for yourselves for however long." Atlantis said with a warm smile, what better way to catch up without distraction around? He looked at Elika and Crystal with a warm smile before wrapping his arm around Crystal's waist drumming his fingertips on her side for a second. "I'll take care of Ryan, there are enough spare rooms in the Academy." Atlantis reassured them before glancing at Crystal and nodding once to tell her that Elika knew more or less. He dropped his arm from Crystal's waist and stood up from the stool to let Crystal take his place and when she did, he placed his hands on her shoulder before kissing the top of her head.
"I have to get ready." Atlantis mumbled softly and glanced at Elika with a knowing expression. "I do not think that Ms. Kayne is going for a jog this morning with your return." Atlantis chuckled softly and stood back up before glancing again at Elika. "If you do change your mind about staying here or heading to your firm, let me know. I usually drop Crystal and Lily off or Ryan does." Atlantis grabbed his now empty mug and went to the sink to put it there to wash later, he did not take Elika's because maybe she was going to take some more coffee with Crystal's arrival and all.

Crystal stuck out her lower lip when she pouted when Elika told her that she had been planning to letting her sleep in. Soon though, her pout turned into her sticking her tongue out when she was referred as mother. "Nice try, hon'." Crystal said as she stifled her laughter before she rolled her eyes playfully. She was about to say something about not needing Elika to stand up to get her the coffee because she would do it herself but that never happened considering that Elika was already there by the coffee pot.
While listening with interest to what Elika was saying, she felt Atlantis' gentle squeeze on her hand, she could not help but to return the same gesture. She picked up her cup and smiled at Elika as a thanks considering that she didn't want to interrupt her while she was still speaking. She was glad that she was going to be here planetside longer this time because they definitely needed to catch up and what better way than that suggestion. "One girls' night out coming right up." Crystal promised as she raised her cup but even before taking a sip of her caf, she looked at Elika with a mischievous grin. "I'll even raise you to a girls' day and night out."
Finally taking a sip of her drink, she drummed her fingers on the side of her cup and pursed her lips thoughtfully. "We all need one, as Lily and I haven't even gone out to do random things into the city because it would feel like we were cheating on you without you there." Bad analogy she knew hence why she was making the face but she knew that Elika would understand. Although the moment Atlantis spoke, she turned to look at him and smiled at him warmly and gratefully. "You and Ryan do not need to get out of our ways, you know..." And then she understood his underlying reasoning. She blinked once and turned leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Grazie, amore."
Now they were swapping, why were they swapping? Right, Atlantis definitely knew her like the back of his hand, like she knew him, so she just sat down and closed her eyes briefly when he kissed her head. "Definitely not going to go for a jog." Crystal said with a faint chuckle as she placed her cup down on the kitchen island before reaching for Atlantis' hand on her shoulder until she let him go. "Right, Ryan is around, or is currently in Lily's room." Crystal rolled her eyes playfully before she shook her head, she still remember that thing that occurred between the two of them, or at least she got the story from Lily.
"When are you actually free for our day and potentially night into town?" Crystal asked curiously before she picked up her cup again to take a sip of her drink. "Also you have to tell me what exotic or not places you have visited so I can be jealous!"

When Crystal says that she has a counter proposal to Elikapeka's proposed girl's night involving a day in addition to eveneing, Elika smiles and claps her hands to demonstrate her enthusiasm for the idea, adding a cheerful, "Sold," just to clarify in the event the clapping and her expression were not sufficient. Taking a sip of her coffee when Crystal beats her to the punch by telling Atlantis that it is not necessary that he and Ryan get out of their way, Elika smiles a bit wistfully as she observes the predominantly nonverbal way her friends come to some kind of understanding about, Elika assumes, an unstated reason for Atlantis' suggestion; on the one hand happy to see that her friends have achieved such a clear level of intimate understanding of one another that they do not always require words to communicate, and on the other unable to entirely stave off the brief flash melancholy reminiscence engendered by her memories of what it was like to have known what it was like to be in a relationship that had achieved a similar level of understanding.
Brushing the fleeting reflective moment aside, Elika smiles when Atlantis announces he is going to get ready, shaking her head after he suggests that he or Ryan would be able to drop her off if she were to change her mind about taking the day off, "Oh, no thank you, I definitely think I'll be taking the day to try and get re-acclimated to being in the time zone here. Illustrating her point with a yawn that is only partially theatrical, Elika turns towards Crystal and answers the first of her friend's questions with a question of her own, Why don't we make it tomorrow? With the weekend starting tomorrow, Elika supposes that, unless Crystal and Lily already have plans, suggesting the following day is for the best as it does not involve interrupting any one's routines more than her return has already done. Reaching up and removing her spectacles after Crystal asks that Elika tell her where her travels had taken her, Elika cleans the lenses on the hem of her sweater as she looks up as though summoning her recollection, I don't know about being jealous, sweetie; everything was so rushed that I never really had any opportunity to take in where I was, but let's see. . . I started out on Bimissaari, which was gorgeous from what I did get the chance to see. The Bimms are a lovely people too, very welcoming and warm. Then I went to Iridonia, which was a bit . . . rough. I understand, Elika says with a laugh, why, historically speaking, the Iridonians were so anxious to develop space flight. After that it was off to Utapau, then Mon Calamari, Muunilinst, Bothawui, and, last but not least, Arkania. Heaving a comically exaggerated sigh as though exhausted by the mere effort of recounting her lengthy trip, Elika says, I'll never, ever, let Evadne send me so many places in so little time again. My sleep cycle is even more off kilter than it usually is, I've put on fifteen pounds and have had to switch to my fat clothes, Elika stops herself from continuing to complain with a laugh, and apparently I've become more whiny than ever. Waving her hand to dismiss the brief foray into whiny, Elika puts her spectacles back on after inspecting the lenses and rests her chin on her right hand as she pats Crystal's shoulder with her left and says, Your turn, sweetie. How have you been?"
